John Shepherd Lettings ensure that prospective tenants are carefully referenced and credit checked to determine their suitability for tenancy. Events may occur however whereby tenants’ circumstances change, for example redundancy, separation, divorce or ill health. Even the best references in the world cannot predict what lies around the corner.

Wouldn’t it be great to remove some of the worry of facing unknown and expensive legal bills in the event that your tenant breaches the tenancy agreement? Our rent protection plan includes cover for Legal expenses, but if you are a Let Only Landlord or a Landlord who chooses not to take up our Rent and Legal Protection Plan, this product offers the piece of mind suitable to you. This is a standalone Legal Expenses Cover policy for only £85 + IPT (total £89.25) per annum.

Legal expenses cover only - 12 month policy

  • Legal expenses included up to £50,000
  • Covers disputes for possession including non payment of rent
  • Covers disputes over events which cause or could cause damage to your property
  • No excess payable (£250 if related to nuisance or trespass)
  • Cover up to a rental of £2,000 per calendar month
